OEAC-23-33 - Road Salt Working Group Report - September 2023

• Recommendation

  That based on Report OEAC-23-33 from the Road Salt Working Group:

  1. That the Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee approve the design and content of the road salt awareness postcard; and,
  2. That $300.00 of the 2023 Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee budget be allocated toward the cost of printing and shipping 300 copies of the postcard.

OEAC-23-34 - Mind Your Plastic Working Group Report - Inquiry regarding a Policy Banning Single-Use Plastics 

That based on Report OEAC-23-34 from the Mind Your Plastic Working Group:

• Recommendation

  That the Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee recommend to the Economic and Development Services Committee:

  That Report OEAC-23-34 be submitted as the Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee's comments and input concerning Correspondence ED-23-108 regarding a Policy banning single-use plastics.

   

OEAC-23-36 - Information from Oshawa City Council - June 26, 2023

• Recommendation

  That Report OEAC-23-36, dated September 1, 2023, concerning information from Oshawa City Council from its meeting of June 26, 2023 be received for information.

OEAC-23-37 - Film Night Working Group

That based on Report OEAC-23-37 from the Film Night Working Group:

• Recommendation
  1. That the film Seed: The Untold Story be aired at the Fall Film Night; and,
  2. That the Fall Film Night be held on October 18, 2023

OEAC-23-38 -MTSA Working Group

That Report OEAC-23-38 from the MTSA Working Group for September 2023 be submitted as the comments from the Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee on the Major Transit Station Area study.

OEAC-23-39 - Tree Planting Working Group

• Recommendation

  That Report OEAC-23-39 concerning the Tree Planting Working Group tree giveaway be endorsed.

OEAC-23-40 - 2024 Work Plan and Budget Submission 

• Recommendation

  That based on Report OEAC-23-40 dated September 5, 2023, a 2024 O.E.A.C. Work Plan and Budget Working Group be created in order to prepare a 2024 O.E.A.C. Work Plan and Budget submission and report back at the October 3, 2023 meeting.

OEAC-23-41 - 2023 OEAC Budget Report - 3rd Quarter

• Recommendation

  That based on Report OEAC-23-41 dated September 5, 2023 concerning the 2023 O.E.A.C. Budget be received for information.

OEAC-23-42 - 2023 OEAC 3rd Quarter Workplan

• Recommendation

  That Report OEAC-23-42 dated September 5, 2023 concerning the 2023 O.E.A.C. Work Plan be received for information.

OEAC-23-43 - Fall Film Night Advertising Poster

That based on Report OEAC-23-43 from the Film Night Working Group concerning the 2023 O.E.A.C. Fall Film Night movie poster, the poster be approved by the Committee for printing and advertising purposes.
