• Recommendation

  That Report OACAC-23-05 being the the Wildlife and Other Animals' Working Group Report concerning its 2023 Work Plan be received for information.

OACAC-23-06 - Community Resources Working Group Report - February 2023

• Recommendation

  That Report OACAC-23-06 being the Community Resources Working Group Report concerning its 2023 Work Plan and activities for February 2023 be received for information.

OACAC-23-07 - By-law and Regulatory Working Group Report - February 2023

• Recommendation

  The By-law and Regulatory Working Group recommends to the Animal Advisory Committee that staff from Municipal Law Enforcement Services be requested to attend a future meeting to present on the following two items:

  1. Whether a regulation can be established that would regulate in-home breeding of animals for profit and what other resources or public messaging Municipal Law Enforcement Services could utilize to discourage such activity; and,
  2. When public signage is erected at city locations (parks and other public spaces) that require dogs to be leashed, that Municipal Law Enforcement Services can take an alternative approach to education only.
